Welcome to Dakota Hills Middle School where we are dedicated to helping learners explore their infinite possibilities.

Parents and guardians play a critical role in the education of their children. Students are successful when families and schools work together. Our staff is committed to working with parents and guardians to ensure they have the tools needed to support student achievement. The information and resources linked in this section are designed to keep parents connected to their child’s academic success.

Choose one of the following services for instructions on how to set it up and/or access it.

How do I change my phone or email address in Campus Parent?

Parents/Guardians have the ability to update their email and/or phone numbers through Campus Parent.

Note - A Campus Parent account must be set up in order to make these changes.

To modify this information follow the steps below.

Navigate to the District 196 website www.district196.org
Hover your mouse over Community and then click on Infinite Campus.

Scroll down to Family Access and click on Infinite Campus and then Infinite Campus LOGIN.
- Note - If you have not set up your Campus Parent (portal) account, you will need to contact your child’s school for more information.

Click on Campus Parent and then log in with your Parent Username and Password. Click Log In.

Once logged in, click on the 3 lines and then click on More.

Click on Family Information to pull up the members of the Household.

Find the Parent/Guardian in the list and click Update to change their email or phone number.

Change any applicable information and then click on Update to save the information. A SUCCESS message will pop up saying that the contact information was successfully updated.

Payment Center - EduTrak Connect and PayPAMS

EduTrak is for student registration and fee payments

Parents and guardians will automatically receive communications; no action is required. However, logging into ParentSquare unlocks personalized settings and tools, allowing you to better engage in your child's school experience.

1. Sign in

Sign in using the contact information (email or phone number) you use for your school; it must match our records to connect you to your student. Verify your contact information, your child(s) names and school(s).

2. Download the App

The ParentSquare app is an easy way to keep all of your school-related information one location (email, text, or voice messages). Download in the App Store or Google Play.

3. Set Notification Preferences

Under your account name, set notification preferences:
Instant–Get messages as they’re sent
Digest–One daily summary at 6 p.m.
Off–No notification (not recommended)

Emergency alerts are sent instantly.

Educational Benefits

Families are encouraged to apply for Educational Benefits

Families are encouraged to complete an Educational Benefits Application. Your children may qualify! Applications for the 2024-25 school year are available beginning July 15th.

While meals are free for all students, all families are highly encouraged to complete an Application for Educational Benefits. Your approved application provides critical funding to our school district. This compensatory aid helps increase funding for teachers, paraprofessionals and social workers to include math and reading support. An approval for educational benefits also allows families to receive discounted Activities/Community Education fees. Learn more about the Educational Benefits Program >

Student iPad User Agreement and Optional iPad Protection Plan

The student iPad user agreement is part of the annual review process in Infinite Campus. The optional iPad Protection Plan is available for families to purchase in EduTrak Connect.
